Dems PRETEND To Care About “Gun Safety,” But Vote AGAINST Illegal Alien Gun Safety Measure

Surely by now, you’ve noticed Dems operate under a number of different sets of standards. The strictest, of course, are the standards they have for conservatives. We can’t take a deep breath without being accused of something.

Then there are the standards they hold for themselves- basically, you’re allowed to do ANYTHING – as long as you pretend to be “WOKE.”

And finally, there are the Illegal Alien standards. Which are…none. Do whatever you want. We’ll make sure anyone who wants to hold you accountable for your own actions is condemned as a RAAAACIST.

Anyway – Libs are AAAAAALL about stricter gun laws and gun safety and keeping guns out of the wrong hands and so on and so forth.

UNLESS, of course, those “wrong hands” belong to an illegal immigrant.

Then they’re totally cool with guns in those hands.

According to BPR:

Proposed by Republican congressman Greg Steube as an addition to the Democrat-written “Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019,” the amendment would’ve also applied to illegals.

“In the case of an alien illegally or unlawfully in the United States, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement” officials would be notified, the amendment reads.

Because of this stipulation, Democrats in the House Judiciary Committee scrapped the amendment and passed their bill by itself. H.R. 8 requires that background checks be run prior to any and all sales or transfers of firearms from one entity/person to another entity/person.

“Republicans said they were ready to offer additional amendments when Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., shut off debate around 8 p.m., 10 hours after the hearing began,” Fox News reported, citing the events that transpired in Congress last Wednesday.

“Nadler called the background checks bill long overdue to address a ‘national crisis of gun violence’ that claimed nearly 40,000 lives in 2017. ‘Our country is awash in guns, and we have the shameful death toll to show for it,’ he said.”

But what use is his background checks bill if the authorities aren’t notified when bad people try to buy weapons? What’s telling is that Steube’s amendment was based on a bill that the Democrats had proposed years earlier.

Well um… things are DIFFERENT now, OK?!

Democrats realized they can turn illegal immigrants into votes somehow… and so NOW THEY’RE JUUUST FINE.

“The language of the Amendment came from the text of a bill from the 115th Congress, The Unlawful Gun Buyer Alert Act(H.R. 4343), introduced by Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI-1) and sponsored by Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY-10),” Steube noted in a press release. “However, both voted against the Amendment today, along with the rest of their Democratic colleagues on the House Judiciary Committee.”

And by doing so, they and their colleagues showed that they don’t actually care about gun violence.

Their hypocrisy truly knows no bounds.
