This is so out of control.
If you haven’t heard about the “controversial incident” between Covington Catholic High School kids and the Native American activist, you can catch up here. Or just search for it on our website. We have TONS of articles out on it.
Despite the overwhelming evidence showing that these high schoolers did nothing to instigate or “harass” any group of people, they’re getting pummeled. I place a lot of blame on the mainstream media. While most everyone got the initial story wrong, many sites, including our own, issued corrections and apologies. The same cannot be said of various blue check mark “journalists” on Twitter. They’re ruthlessly attacking these kids and encouraging others to do so. (Well, at least Kathy Griffin is.)
As a result, the school has been forced to temporarily shut down.
Officials have canceled school and activities for students at Covington Catholic High School Tuesday, citing safety concerns.
The decision was announced in a school-wide call to parents from Covington Catholic Principal Bob Rowe.
Rowe said the decision comes after meeting with local authorities about the safety of students, faculty and staff following a controversy surrounding video showing the students in an encounter with Native Americans at a rally near the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.
Rowe said all activities on campus for the entire day have also been canceled and students, faculty and staff are “not to be on campus for any reason.”
Rowe ended the call asking parents to “keep the Covington Catholic Community in your prayers.”
I’ve even seen reports that people have wished a school shooting on them.
It’s horrific. Unbelievably evil.
