He decided to deliver pizza to Secret Service workers and called for leaders on both sides of the aisle to end the shutdown.
He wrote: “@LauraWBush and I are grateful to our Secret Service personnel and the thousands of Federal employees who are working hard for our country without a paycheck. And we thank our fellow citizens who are supporting them. It’s time for leaders on both sides to put politics aside, come together, and end this shutdown.”

It’s a sweet gesture and a nice thought, but we all know it’s not that simple. I mean, it IS, but it isn’t. After all, this is Washington we’re talking about.
