President Trump just delivered his address from the Oval Office. You can catch up on the entire thing here. He didn’t say anything new or shocking. He simply presented the case again. We need a physical barrier on the border, but Democrats are determined to keep the government shut down, because they don’t give two craps about border security.
Pelosi and Schumer just responded. First of all, they looked like a bad version of American Gothic. Just had to throw that out there.
They didn’t say anything of substance. They basically accused Trump of fearmongering…

…and proceeded to whine about how a physical barrier isn’t necessary and blah blah blah.
Nancy Pelosi: “The fact is, President Trump must stop holding the American people hostage, must stop manufacturing a crisis and must reopen the government” https://t.co/rLuuZmnmqg pic.twitter.com/K6hmKHcWXL

Nancy Pelosi: “The fact is: the women and children at the border are not a security threat, they are a humanitarian challenge – a challenge that Pres. Trump’s own cruel and counterproductive policies have only deepened.” https://t.co/b27gkzHwTx pic.twitter.com/lqdoWjJyWY
