Ohio Gov. John Kasich recently reminded us all that he’s the Actual Worst. You see, he vetoed a bill that would’ve prevented abortions on babies with detectable heartbeats. The Ohio House is overriding him.

However, the Senate failed to come through. We were short one vote.
Applause broke out in the Ohio Senate gallery on Thursday after legislators fell one vote short in an effort to outlaw abortion once a fetal heartbeat is detected – as early as six weeks into a pregnancy.
The Senate needed 20 votes to override Gov. John Kasich’s veto of the “fetal heartbeat” legislation. Without debate, 19 senators voted to override the veto.
Imagine clapping because you’re happy that you can legally murder babies with heartbeats. That’s a special kind of evil.
Meanwhile, the legislature managed to override Kasich’s veto of a pro-Second Amendment bill, so that’s something.
The Senate voted 21-11 on Thursday to reject Kasich’s decision to strike down the bill. That followed a House override earlier in the day.
The legislation expands gun access for off-duty police officers and allows pre-emption of local gun restrictions, among other things.
Senators had hoped to address Kasich’s objections by stripping its so-called stand-your-ground language, but he vetoed the legislation anyway.
Why? Because he’s a gigantic RINO. That’s why.

Ohio House overrode Kasich’s veto of pro-#2A Bill this morning. State Senate just concurred 21-11. Veto is overriden and HB 221 will become law! Congrats and thanks to the Ohio gun owners who talked to their lawmakers. https://t.co/qDpEnmUfgu https://t.co/6BSHz1kpbQ

I’m still discouraged by lawmakers’ inability to override Kasich’s veto of the heartbeat bill. If society can’t agree to protect babies with heartbeats, there’s something seriously wrong. There’s something seriously wrong with Kasich. What a useless sack.
