Dude. How do these people end up becoming lawmakers? It legitimately freaks me out.
You’d think if you worked that hard to be successful in your career, you’d avoid stupid moves like this.
Check out what New York state Sen. Kevin Parker tweeted to a female colleague.
DUDE. No. Not cool. You’re a STATE LAWMAKER. If you’re feeling sassy, go with “Delete your account” or something. Kill yourself? That seems a bit…excessive. (And that’s putting it nicely. It’s totally inappropriate.)
"Kill yourself" isn't just a poor choice of words, it should be why you resign
— Cameron Gray (@Cameron_Gray) December 18, 2018
You can't write things like that an hold office. You should resign.

A poor choice of words? You have to resign.

Guess it's time to prep the resignation speech, that was despicable

He’s apologized for his “poor choice of words.”
I sincerely apologize. I used a poor choice of words. Suicide is a serious thing and and should not be made light of.
— Senator Kevin Parker (@SenatorParker) December 18, 2018
I still don’t get it. What made him think that was an acceptable thing to tweet?
Too late. You obviously dont have the temperament or maturity to hold office. Pack your bags.

I think the apology came from a place of self preservation rather than sincerity. you need to be mindful of the things you say. Your pay grade is a privilege given to you and can be taken away by the same people who blessed you with it. Remember that!

turn in your placard…and resign
— GlenThePlumber (@GlenThePlumber) December 18, 2018
Here for the ratio. Resign.
— Jonathan Fertig (@rightlegpegged) December 18, 2018
Resign now.
— Paul Roales (@PaulRoales) December 18, 2018
Absolutely horrific of you to send a message like that.
I think you should be twitter banned and resign immediately.— turtlehugs (@turtlehugs) December 18, 2018
What do you think? Should he resign ASAP, or should everyone accept his apology?
