As we mentioned earlier this week, Kevin Hart has stepped down from hosting the Oscars after he caused outrage for some past “homophobic” tweets.
I have made the choice to step down from hosting this year’s Oscar’s….this is because I do not want to be a distraction on a night that should be celebrated by so many amazing talented artists. I sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community for my insensitive words from my past.

I’m sorry that I hurt people.. I am evolving and want to continue to do so. My goal is to bring people together not tear us apart. Much love & appreciation to the Academy. I hope we can meet again.

Anyway… NO PART OF ME intended to watch a bunch of liberal blowhards pat each other on the back, so I don’t really CARE who hosts this lib-fest.
In all actuality, Janice Dean’s suggestion was my favorite:
Why not just cancel the #oscars altogether? Would anyone really miss it?

But we all know that won’t happen. Celebrities NEED multiple opportunities to kiss each other’s butts, or they’ll evaporate into nothingness. (Which really wouldn’t be the worst thing that’s ever happened.) Award shows and public recognition are their lifeblood.
So… Pat Sajak came up with a solution that could benefit everyone:
Here’s a quick fix for the Academy Awards show: expand it to two nights. On the first night, give out awards, and celebrate the history and wonder of movies. On the second night, hold your political rally.

IN FACT – could we do this for everything?! I would LOVE to be able to watch movies and television shows again without some insufferably liberal political message hanging over my head.
MAKE HOLLYWOOD WATCHABLE AGAIN.
