November 19, 2018As President Trump and Sarah Sanders alluded to before, there will be new ground rules for White House press conferences moving forward. It’s been unclear how intense those rules would be. That is, until now.
They’re as follows:
- One question per reporter. Following the question, the journalist will yield the floor UNLESS told otherwise by the individual who answered the question. No whining or arguing.
- You don’t get to hold on to the mic and continue to attempt to debate the POTUS or press secretary. THAT ONE’S FOR YOU JIM ACOSTA.
- If you act like a rude idiot and ignore the rules, you could have your press pass revoked. THAT ONE’S FOR YOU AGAIN JIM ACOSTA.
These really aren’t new rules. They were believed to be understood. That is, before Jim Acosta screwed it up for everyone.

Not much change here. After all, there's long been a discretionary second question at briefings. Sometimes — many times — @PressSec grants them, sometimes she does not.
