The other night, Mike Huckabee filled in for Sean Hannity, and he had his daughter– White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders– on the show.
Jim Acosta was a big topic of conversation. She said the White House is working on establishing some ground rules– “standard practices,” if you will.
“We’ll work with our team on that and certainly moving into Thanksgiving holiday we’ll see how long that process takes, but I think there are some just standard practices,” Sanders said.
“I think the very basic minimum is that if certain reporters like Jim Acosta can’t be adults, then CNN needs to send somebody in there who can be,” she continued.
Exactly. I hate how they made this entire thing into a “First Amendment” issue. It’s not. You don’t have the RIGHT to to be rude to the POTUS during a presser. Not to mention that the White House banned ONE reporter– not all of CNN.
She’s absolutely right. Freedom of the press isn’t freedom to be rude.
