Debra Messing Takes Alyssa Milano’s Lead To Do THE RIGHT THING

A while back I gave Alyssa Milano a pat on the back for what MAY be the first and ONLY time.

I am diametrically opposed to nearly everything Alyssa Milano stands for… and YET when someone does something right, I’ll be the first to give them credit for it.

Alyssa is REFUSING to speak at the next Women’s March… and her reasoning is something I will ABSOLUTELY give her credit for.

According to this:

Actress Alyssa Milano said in a recent interview that she does not intend to support the Women’s March so long as it defends “bigotry or anti-Semitism.”

In an interview with The Advocate, a gay community magazine, Milano condemned Women’s March organizers Linda Sarsour and Tamika Mallory for supporting Louis Farrakhan. The Nation of Islam leader has routinely made misogynistic, homophobic, and anti-Semitic comments. “Any time that there is any bigotry or anti-Semitism in that respect, it needs to be called out and addressed. I’m disappointed in the leadership of the Women’s March that they haven’t done it adequately,” Milano said.

YES. GOOD.

Two of the March’s leaders – Linda Sarsour and Tamika Mallory – are FLAMING, Farrakhan-supporting anti-Semites. I hoped then that more people would wake up to the hypocritical reality behind the “Women’s March.”

Now others are following her lead.

YES!

According to Daily Wire: 

Milano told The Advocate that she is uncomfortable with the connection between Women’s March leaders Tamika Mallory, Carmen Perez, and Linda Sarsour and the Chicago-based leader of the Nation of Islam. Milano did not mince words in condemning the anti-Semitism she’s seen crop up on the left, and called up on the three women to denounce Farrakhan.

“Any time that there is any bigotry or anti-Semitism in that respect, it needs to be called out and addressed. I’m disappointed in the leadership of the Women’s March that they haven’t done it adequately,” Milano said. “I would say no at this point. Unfortunate that none of them have come forward against him at this point. Or even given a really good reason why to support them.”

Again – I SELDOM agree with Alyssa – but this is a commendable move. Sarsour and Mallory strongly support Louis Farrakhan.

Sarsour has often been accused of anti-Semitism, attending Farrakhan’s events and defending the virulently anti-Semitic leader. Just last week, in a post-election appearance on Democracy Now’s livestream network, Sarsour, who appointed herself a leader in the Women’s March’s efforts to battle anti-Semitism, blamed the Democratic Party’s support for the nation of Israel for its lackluster performance in the 2018 midterms.

Riiiiiiight.

Tamika is no better.

Mallory has been an outspoken advocate for Farrakhan and his organization, and was in attendance earlier this year, at a “Savior’s Day” event in Chicago, where Farrakhan preached against the Jewish people, comparing them to the spawn of Satan. She refused to rebuke Farrakhan, instead calling him the “GOAT [greatest of all time]” and claiming Farrakhan and Jesus shared a common enemy (the Jews, of course).

Meanwhile, the Women’s March put out some BS statement about how Sarsour and Mallory aren’t ACTUAL Anti-Semites – YOU’RE JUST A RACIST. 

SO AGAIN – I’m not a fan of Milano OR Messing’s – but I will give them BOTH credit for doing the right thing and condemning an organization HATEFUL AND BIGOTED
