As Daisy told you earlier, SNL decided it would be suuuuper edgy and cool to mock a Navy SEAL who lost his eye in combat. His name is Dan Crenshaw, and he’s a Republican congressional candidate in Texas.

“You may be surprised to hear he’s a congressional candidate for Texas and not a hit-man in a porno movie,” Pete Davidson added.

“I’m sorry. I know he lost his eye in war — or whatever,” he added.

“Or whatever.” Such respect, huh?

starting to rethink davidson joke. isn't the point that it's a ridiculously absurd thing to say? so when he says it, he knows that its cavalier delivery about such sacrifice is the punchline cuz there's nothing cavalier about that sacrifice. trying to be generous here. thoughts?
