“OMG, THIS ISN’T A POLITICAL STUNT. THIS IS WOMEN AND CHILDREN (And a few working aged males here or there) TRYING TO ESCAPE FROM THEIR AWFUL FATE!”
Oh, is it now?
Cue this:
BREAKING: Group of migrants travelling on foot from Honduras file federal lawsuit against Pres Trump and others. “Trump’s professed and enacted policy towards thousands of caravanners seeking asylum in the United States is shockingly unconstitutional.” https://t.co/m79NT1Xci7

Oh, FFS.
So they managed to get a lawyer to do THIS, but not one to help them immigrate here LEGALLY?!
Interesting, that.
“But that lawyer is probably working pro-bono, Ashley!”
Uh huh. And could have helped them fill out LEGAL IMMIGRATION PAPERWORK pro-bono, too.
NEW: Lawsuit filed tonight in DC federal court on behalf of migrants who say they’re traveling to the United States to seek asylum, alleging the Trump admin is unconstitutionally detaining asylum seekers and trying to deny them entry https://t.co/dVD0qVgTIr pic.twitter.com/4xNozDMBQm

This lawsuit is forward-looking — it defines the class of people who would be covered by it as asylum seekers who are traveling to the US or who have tried to enter the US since Oct. 31 (which was yesterday) pic.twitter.com/wyH6rVifhw

The lawsuit claims a few things:
1) That Trump and other officials saying they won’t let the caravan in means they’re going to deny people the right to seek asylum
2) That the admin has a policy of mandatory detention for asylum seekers w/out a chance to challenge designation— Zoe Tillman (@ZoeTillman) November 2, 2018
*INSERT EXASPERATED SIGH*
They’re literally suing the president of the country they’re about to break into.
I would like to formally sue Bill Gates for not letting me break into his mansion.
How does this even happen without strong financial backing?

Maybe you can ask Beto about that.
Here are their lawyers, if you’re curious:

Here’s the complaint in its entirety.
