More stupidity, coming in hot.
Vogue is under fire for this photo of Kendall Jenner.

As you can see, her hair is teased out like crazy. It is NOT an afro. They were actually going for the “Gibson Girl” look, and that’s basically what it looked like. Google it right now. I dare you.
However, that didn’t stop perpetually offended weirdos from flipping out.
Some of the remarks on the photo were:
#vogue #blackreparationsnow #black #africans #why could they hire a black girl ????? #kendalljenner #racistmeme This is so Dead!
…and:
WHAT THE HELL DO GUYS THINK YOU’RE DOING???!!!
…and:
DISRESPECTFUL!!!!!!! We’re told our children can’t wear their natural hair to school and it’s unacceptable in many cooperate jobs. Wh!tes and others copy it’s considered high fashion. 🤔🙄🙄 GTFOH
…and:
#WhyNotAblackModel #HuhVogue?
…and:
They stay tryna turn white women into black women. They rather pretend we don’t exist then give us credit. Ugh
You get the idea.
Even though this had nothing to do with “appropriating” black culture or black hair or whatever stupid thing libs come up with, Vogue decided to APOLOGIZE anyway.
The image is meant to be an update of the romantic Edwardian/Gibson Girl hair which suits the period feel of the Brock Collection, and also the big hair of the ’60s and the early ’70s, that puffed-out, teased-out look of those eras. We apologize if it came across differently than intended, and we certainly did not mean to offend anyone by it.
That last sentence wasn’t necessary. There’s absolutely no reason to apologize.
If everyone could stop apologizing for every little thing now, that would be great, thanks.
