This doesn’t sound very “feminist.”
Sarah Silverman recently spoke with Howard Stern and made a really bizarre revelation.
She gave Louis C.K. permission to pleasure himself in front of her “when they were kids.”
Sarah made the pretty startling reveal Monday on the ‘Howard Stern Show’ … telling Howard about her early days in comedy with Louis. She says he asked if he could masturbate, and she told him, “F**k yeah, I want to see that!”
Um…are you serious? Why would you want to see that? That’s gross, and isn’t that exactly the kind of disgusting behavior that Hollywood’s feminists have been pretending to stand against?
But listen. She’s DEFINITELY not making excuses for him.
Sarah said there were times she told him no, and he would comply. She added they’d also go streaking together while “letting our freak flags fly.”
I just don’t get it. There’s so much inconsistency here. What’s the difference between him asking to pleasure himself in front of her and someone else doing the same to other actresses?
According to Sarah, it’s different because the two were on the “same level.” He wasn’t in a position of power over her.
She made a very important distinction, though, between herself and the women who accused him of sexual misconduct. Sarah says she and Louis were peers, on the same level as they were getting their starts — unlike his accusers, over whom he had power in the biz.
So this behavior is fine as long as the dude doesn’t have power over you. Got it. Good to know. *writes down this new feminist rule*
