George Clooney’s wife Amal spoke at the Pennsylvania Conference for Women on Friday and used the opportunity to– you guessed it– criticize President Trump. Why? Well, isn’t it obvious? Trump is a misogynist who HAAATES women. He’s making it harder for women in this country, by, um…well…he uh…and then there was…and don’t forget…*mumble mumble*…honey, is that you? Be right there!
“Survivors in any country deserve the chance to look their abusers in the eye and for history to record what has happened to them,” she said at the conference. “That means the president of a country should not publicly ridicule a woman who courageously comes forward to allege abuse.”
“And it means the leader of the Senate should not assure constituents that he would ‘plow right through’ her testimony,” she added.
FLASHBACK. She’s referring to this:
“I had one beer!” Trump said. “How did you get home? I don’t remember. How did you get there? I don’t remember. Where is the place? I don’t remember. How many years ago was it? I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know! I don’t know! What neighborhood was it in? I don’t know. Where is the house? I don’t know. Upstairs, downstairs, where was it? I don’t know. But I had one beer, that’s the only thing I remember. And a man’s life is in tatters. His life is shattered.”

Pointing out the GLARING inconsistencies in Ford’s story = ridicule? Is that how this works now? We’re not allowed to expect women who are accusing someone of misconduct to give us PROOF, because that’s too hurtful? Are you kidding?
"For too long women have suffered without speaking out or without being believed. In the US, a woman is assaulted every 9 seconds." Amal Clooney #PennWomen

“We are living through a moment of reckoning and a rebalancing of power,” Amal added. “There is still much for us to do. Still, I am optimistic.”
Optimistic that women who step forward will offer EVIDENCE for now on? Can we be optimistic for that? I will NEVER blindly listen to a woman just because she’s a woman. That’s insane, and that’s NOT how it should work in this country. Feminists want the accused to be presumed guilty. They want the accused to prove their innocence. That’s totally backwards.
