A few days ago, the Secret Service intercepted a suspicious envelope addressed to President Trump. It was suspected of containing ricin.
Secret Service confirmed a suspicious envelope was addressed to Pres. Trump; it was not received at the WH.
Two other envelopes suspected of containing ricin were found at a Pentagon mail screening facility Monday, authorities said.
Ricin can be lethal.

Additionally, two envelopes were sent to the Pentagon and were suspected of containing ricin. The envelopes were addressed to Defense Secretary James Mattis and Admiral John Richardson. It was later discovered that the substance was a castor bean substance, used to make ricin.
The man suspected of sending the suspicious envelopes to federal officials has been arrested. He’s been identified as 39-year-old William Clyde Allen III.

William Clyde Allen III, a Navy veteran, was taken into custody in Utah on Wednesday, two days after the packages and letters were discovered at mailing facilities. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Salt Lake City said federal charges were expected to be filed Friday.
Allen served in the Navy for four years, leaving the service in 2002. The motive remains under investigation.
