Dianne Feinstein is getting desperate. I think she realized last night that the FBI investigation was going to lead to NOTHING, because there’s absolutely no one around to corroborate Ford’s claims. Her story is chock-full of holes. Also, the FBI doesn’t come to conclusions, so there’s that too.
Rachel Mitchell, the sex crimes prosecutor who questioned Ford, released a damning independent analysis. She said Ford’s entire story is weak sauce.
In the legal context, here is my bottom line: A “he said, she said” case is incredibly difficult to prove. But this case is even weaker than that. Dr. Ford identified other witnesses to the event, and those witnesses either refuted her allegations or failed to corroborate them. For the reasons discussed below, I do not think that a reasonable prosecutor would bring this case based on the evidence before the Committee. Nor do I believe that this evidence is sufficient to satisfy the preponderance-of-the-evidence standard.
She even listed the specifics.
Dr. Ford has not offered a consistent account of when the alleged assault happened.
Dr. Ford has struggled to identify Judge Kavanaugh as the assailant by name.
When speaking with her husband, Dr. Ford changed her description of the incident to become

I highly encourage you to read her analysis if you haven’t yet. You can do that right here.
Since nothing is holding up, Feinstein has to find a new target: Rachel Mitchell, OBVIOUSLY.
President Trump isn’t alone in mocking Dr. Blasey Ford. Senate Republicans have called Dr. Ford ‘mixed up’ and said she has a ‘problem,’ tried to discredit her with mistaken identity theories, and Republican attorney Rachel Mitchell penned a flawed memo to discredit Dr. Ford.

For future reference, a “flawed memo” is a memo that contains information that Feinstein doesn’t like.
Crabby McGee is getting desperate.
Now watch her call the FBI investigate illegitimate. She’ll say, “It was too fast!” And then we’ll all laugh at her, because she sat on Ford’s letter for months.
