Chantal Castanon, a New Yorker through-and-through, was headed home on the Subway at 2pm on an August afternoon, when some RANDO reached around and grabbed her “whole buttocks.”
GROOOOOSS.
Chantal didn’t stand for it.
DAAAAAMN.
“It just happened so fast and when I saw [the surveillance footage], I said wow, I can’t believe I actually did that, I didn’t even think about it!” Castanon told CBS2’s Valerie Castro.
“I felt the rage coming from my stomach, I was like what did he just do to me?” said Castanon. “Did he really just touch me like that and he didn’t even care, just walked off like it was nothing.”
Of course, part of me is like “What if this guy was dangerous?” It’s sad to admit I’d be really scared of him shooting me or stabbing me or something. I don’t think I would have chased him down… I think I would have called the cops. (You know… right then. Not 35 years later.)
But then what?
He would have gotten away, and there’d be like a 0% chance he’d ever face any kind of consequences.
So yeah… Good for Chantal. Maybe I could learn a thing or two from her.
