This Kavanaugh-related news cycle has been INSANE. I’ve been away for the bulk of it, because I drove up north to be with my family for my sweet Grandpa’s funeral. Ashley reminded me how important it was to focus on family right now, so I listened and am ETERNALLY grateful for her picking up my load. So in case you’ve been wondering, that’s where I’ve been!
There’s something about disconnecting for a while that puts everything back in perspective. SO MUCH of what we see in the news is petty and ridiculous. At the end of the day, life is about your relationship with God and how you treat people. Period. That’s something I really learned from my Grandpa’s life. He loved God and treated everyone with kindness. Always. DC desperately needs a dose of that, especially now. What they’re doing to Kavanaugh– the pure character assassination– is absolutely repulsive. It’s crazy to think about how many people in politics are going through their lives lying, cheating, and happily maiming the character of people they hate. We don’t know how many days we have on this Earth. This is another reminder of that.
April Freeman, a Democratic candidate for Congress (District 17), has passed away unexpectedly. She was only 54. We don’t have many details on the circumstances surrounding her death. However, her husband told the Herald-Tribune, “It appears that she was having a heart attack.”
“That’s all I know right now,” he said. “I’ll post more …I have no further comment.”
Shocked and saddened by the loss of an amazing woman, activist and patriot. Condolences for her husband David and family. April Freeman you will be missed. pic.twitter.com/khciIhzn1Z
