September 8, 2018Over 200 protesters were arrested for acting obnoxious imbeciles during Brett Kavanaugh’s hearing this week.
Here’s the thing: There’s almost no way he won’t be confirmed. All of the Democrats’ arguments and “points”? It was nothing more than political theater. They tried to act like they were going into this thing blind. They tried to pretend that they knew nothing about Kavanaugh because super secret documents were withheld (except no they weren’t, and Cory Booker KNEW that). That aside, prior to their complaints, they had more documentation on this guy than any other recent Supreme Court nominee. It’s all a big game. Democratic senators were putting on a performance.
Game over? Not so fast. Bette Midler and Cher and panicking on Twitter. Cher says Kavanaugh believes basic contraception is the same thing as getting an abortion. (This is news to me.) In other words, she believes he’s going to ban contraception altogether, as if he would have the authority to do that sort of thing.
