It’s not often that we see HUMANITY between Democrats and Republicans.
The rhetoric has become so contentious… so HATEFUL… that we seldom even see each other as people anymore. Just as the “other side.”
…Which is why we thought this moment between Lindsey Graham, Bret Kavanaugh, and Dianne Feinstein was actually really refreshing:
A light-hearted moment at the Kavanaugh hearing:
“How would you like to be remembered?” Sen. Lindsey Graham asks.
“A good dad, a good judge,” Kavanaugh says.
“A good husband,” Sen. Dianne Feinstein chimes in, prompting laughter https://t.co/Xt5uE6CyvV pic.twitter.com/cbw8BlOkwu

Graham says, with a smirk on his face “Thanks Dianne, you helped him A LOT. It’s gonna be better for you tonight.”
The entire crowd cracks up… knowing EXACTLY what he meant. “Happy wife = Happy life,” my friends.
“I owe you” cracks Kavanaugh through a genuine smile.
This is so sweet… and makes me long for a time when people could disagree… but still be friends.
Not everyone sees this as a sweet moment, though. Apparently, it really triggered some folks:
Sorry, but he’s a right winger and doesn’t care what a woman thinks.

There is nothing light hearted about this.

There is nothing lighthearted about the Republicans cheating and lying their way to another supreme court pick.

We’re back to square one.
