After the Democrats finished up their little charade, the opening statements kicked off. Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s was PEAK Dianne Feinstein. She straight up used her opening statement to whine about abortion and guns.
@SenFeinstein: "The president that nominated you has said 'I will nominate someone who is anti-choice, and pro-gun.' And we believe what he said. We cannot find the documents that absolve from that conclusion. So what women have won…is very important to this side of the aisle." pic.twitter.com/KDieeEB9GT

FEINSTEIN: "The impact of overturning Roe is much broader than a woman's right to choose. It is about protecting the most personal decisions we all make from govt intrusion…I deeply believe that all these cases protect Americans from over-involvement of govt in their lives." pic.twitter.com/xpcqZDwTnk

Wait wait– here’s where she REALLY tried to guilt Kavanaugh into wanting to ban “assault weapons” (still not a thing, but whatever).
FEINSTEIN: "In your own words, gun laws are unconstitutional unless they are traditional. You concluded that banning assault weapons is unconstitutional because they have not historically been banned. This means that even as weapons become more dangerous they cannot be regulated" pic.twitter.com/KUbmGWVStn

“You concluded that banning assault weapons is unconstitutional because they have not historically been banned. This means that even as weapons become more dangerous they cannot be regulated.” Really, Feinstein? You’re really doing this right now?

FEINSTEIN: "If the Supreme Court were to adopt your reasoning [about gun regulations], I fear the number of victims would continue to grow and citizens would be rendered powerless in enacting sensible gun laws. So this is a big part of my very honest concern." pic.twitter.com/ULNjqFZUgK

She basically said that people will die because Kavanaugh thinks banning “assault weapons”– which aren’t even A Thing, but whatever– is unconstitutional.
Like I said. This is peak Dianne Feinstein.
I’m just gonna leave this here.

“You rule on tradition, you rule on the law. But most importantly, you rule on the text. And the #2A is absolute when it says our right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. But as you can tell, for Dianne Feinstein, that has her off the rails.” —@stinchfield1776 pic.twitter.com/A5zc7yIEEa
