According to the sourcelink, there’s a new off-Broadway cabaret show that’s inspired by the Trump family, and it’s being promoted by none other than the Mooch. It’s called the 1st Annual Trump Family Special, and it opens in NY on the 13th of September. Scaramucci insists that the Trumps would like it, saying, “They know how to take a joke.”
While Melania will be played by Gina Gershon (photo above), there are no people cast as the President or as the Mooch. Ivanka, Donald Jr, Eric, and even Ivana Trump and Marla Maples will be featured, along with Mike Pence, but no President Trump.
Apparently, the style of the show is supposed to be reminiscent of old 70s TV specials like the Partridge Family, Brady Bunch, etc., and the lyrics from the show are comments on headlines that are “written by the liberal fake news.”
I have no plans to be in NY, but if I were, I’d probably see it. If only to check out Gina Gershon looking so much like Melania it’s freaky. I mean, LOOK.
