PETA really annoys me. I have a hard time respecting their opinion, because they refuse to respect mine. If you want to be vegan, that’s totally cool with me. I can hang. I’ve had a vegan donut before, and it was actually pretty good. And yeah– I’m a big fan of almond milk BY CHOICE. I genuinely love the taste.
I make vegan jokes sometimes (I’m sorry, but they’re just SO HILARIOUS), but at the end of the day, I don’t care what you eat. But see? That’s why I have trouble with the PETA crazies. They DO care what I eat. I’m talking about the people who march into grocery stores and hold “funerals” for turkeys around the holidays.
It’s so annoying. I’m at the point where you could probably behead a turkey in front of me, and I’d still eat it.
Another reason I can’t stand PETA? You know, besides the fact that they try to tell me that carrot hotdogs are just as good as the real thing? They obsess over stuff that doesn’t matter. For instance, the infamous animal crackers box.
Remember what it looked like before?
Well, thanks to pressure from PETA, Mondelez International, which is the parent company of Nabisco, gave it a new look. You see, the previous box was basically normalizing the exploitation of animals.
“Given the egregious cruelty inherent in circuses that use animals and the public’s swelling opposition to the exploitation of animals used for entertainment, we urge Nabisco to update its packaging in order to show animals who are free to roam in their natural habitats,” PETA wrote.
Mondelez International took that to heart.
“When PETA reached out about Barnum’s, we saw this as another great opportunity to continue to keep this brand modern and contemporary,” said Jason Levine, Mondelez’s chief marketing officer for North America, in a statement.
So here we go. The NEW box, where animals ROAM FREE!
PETA is over the moon.
“The new box for Barnum’s Animals crackers perfectly reflects that our society no longer tolerates the caging and chaining of wild animals for circus shows,” PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman said.
Glad to see @peta is right on top of the real priorities in the world. Just in their honor, I’m going to eat steak today. https://t.co/ZZNKfGDDYa

Wowowowowow. Thanks for that, PETA. The fake animals on animal crackers boxes thank you.
What a waste. Seriously. Imagine spending your time and energy fretting about the design on an animal crackers box.
Get a new hobby.
