In case you missed it, Ben Shapiro said he’d donate to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign if she agreed to debate him.  You can check out that story right here.

Daisy and I said on our show yesterday that we would TOTALLY pay per view watch this debate, or donate some money to see it happen.  I mean, can you even IMAGINE the slaughtering?  It’d be delicious.

Well now, Alexandria has responded.  And it’s so ridiculous I can hardly believe it. Check this out.

Just like catcalling, I don’t owe a response to unsolicited requests from men with bad intentions.

OMG.

Let’s just unpack and untangle that for a moment.

First of all, she just said she doesn’t owe a response to unsolicited requests, as she responded to the unsolicited request. So, you’ve already failed to make your first point, AOC.

Secondly, she just equated Ben Shapiro’s invitation to have a conversation with her to CATCALLING.

What. In. The. Holy. Hell.

As you can imagine, Ben had something to say about that.

OH SNAP.

The only reason Alexandria thinks Ben has “bad intentions” is because she knows Ben is able to articulate his positions well. If she had even the slightest bit of confidence in being able to discuss her own freaking beliefs, she wouldn’t see this offer as a “bad intention” – she’d see it as an opportunity to reach the other side of the aisle with all of the wonderful ideas she has about socialism.

That said, I have to say I’m not a fan of people offering to debate people on Twitter and then being put out when those offers are refused.  If, for example, Joy Behar invited me to debate, I’d have zero interest in doing it, because I don’t feel like Joy Behar is worthy of my time.  I’d have had more respect for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s response to Ben if she’d said something like that, instead of comparing him to a catcaller.

You just lost more points, AOC.  But listen, I get it.  You’re not an expert on this stuff.
