August 8, 2018A few days ago, Carrie Underwood sent the INTERNET ABLAZE when she said that at 35, she might have missed her chance for a “big family.”
“I’m 35, so we may have missed our chance to have a big family,” Underwood told Redbook magazine. “We always talk about adoption and about doing it when our child or children are a little older.”
Even in the Facebook comments to OUR posts about it, people were losing their damn MINDS.
“I had a baby at 35. OMG CARRIE IS SO STUPID.”
“I had a baby at 40. OMG CARRIE IS SO STUPID.”
“HOW DARE CARRIE UNDERWOOD CALL ME OLD.”
“Carrie Underwood is rich and therefore should stop b*tching about things because she has it so much better than me.”
RELAAAAAX, PEOPLE.
Here’s the thing:
A- This isn’t ABOUT YOU. Each woman knows what’s right for HER family and HER body. You popped out 12 kids after the age of 50? Good for you. Sarah gave birth at 90. She’s got you beat.
B – She didn’t say she can’t have ANY more babies now that she’s 35… she said she may have missed her chance at a “big family” … and she’s not wrong. It’s A LOT easier to have 10 kids if you start at 19 than if you start in your mid-30s. Surely y’all understand that, right? It’s not a difficult, or controversial concept. Women have a limited window of fertility. it’s easier to fit in a “big family” if you start towards the beginning of that window. DUH.
You had a baby at 40. That’s fantastic. Congratulations. Did you have 8 kids after the age of 35? Chances are you didn’t.
Anyway – mere days after causing an internet FIT – Carrie just made this HUGE announcement:
She’s having a BABYYYYY!
Carrie announced she and husband Mike Fisher are expecting another bundle of joy on Instagram this morning.
“Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond!” a joyous Underwood shared. “This has just been a dream come true, with album and with baby news and all that stuff. We’re just so excited, and just so glad that you guys can share in this with us.”

Underwood and Fisher are already parents to son Isaiah, 3. This will be their second lil’ babe.
