Trump Says He’ll Campaign ‘Six Or Seven’ Days A Week For GOP Candidates

The midterms are right around the corner. Blue wave? Red wave? What will it be?

I’m still unsure, but my gut tells me there won’t be some huge “blue wave.” I just don’t think the enthusiasm is there. They have no ideas. No platform. Unless of course you consider “socialism iz cool!” and “I HATE TRUMP” Actual Ideas. Then sure. They’ve got…something.

Trump is, understandably, invested in the midterms. After all, if we get more Actual Conservatives, there’s a chance we can revisit the whole Obamacare thing and repeal it in its entirety FOR GOOD.

Trump recently spoke to Sean Hannity and actually said that he’ll campaign for GOP lawmakers in tight races “six or seven” days a week in order to bring the GOP candidates “over the line.”

“My endorsements seem to have a lot of weight. What I told my people just now, I said to General Kelly, give me the top 25 Congresspeople who are, you know, could go either way, and I want to go out and campaign for those people. Likewise with the Senate because we’re going to fix everything once we have the votes,” Trump told Hannity.

Like I said– he has reason to be concerned. We BARELY have a majority in the Senate.

“You know, we really don’t have, when they say it’s a majority because it’s 51-49, [but] you know you lose a couple,” Trump said. “People are sick, people are ill, they can’t come to vote. So in the Senate, we really don’t have a majority at all, and the House it’s a very small majority.”

“I just don’t know any reason why we shouldn’t do well,” he continued.

Me neither. Initially, I was fearful that people would turn on the GOP because of how they dropped the ball on Obamacare and building the wall. But I think the disappointment from that might work out well for us. Maybe it’ll juice people up to get the DEMS and RINOS out and put more genuine CONSERVATIVES in– conservatives who will GET STUFF DONE.

Trump is determined.

“I am going to work very hard, I will go six or seven days a week when we’re 60 days out, and I will be campaigning for all of these great people that do have a difficult race and we think we’re going to bring them over the line,” he said.

On one hand, I don’t want a Campaigner-in-Chief. Do your job. On the other hand, Trump doesn’t really fit in with past presidents. I feel like he’s better at juggling all of those things at once. His “vacations” are always WORK vacations. His dinners are usually WORK dinners. He regularly operates on 4 hours of sleep.

I get why he wants to do it. He thinks he can sway the outcome in his favor, and ultimately, in the COUNTRY’S favor. At the same time, I totally gawked at the idea of him campaigning “six or seven” days a week, just because it seems REALLY excessive for a sitting president. Plus, remember this?

Yesterday Obama campaigned with JayZ & Springsteen while Hurricane Sandy victims across NY & NJ are still decimated by Sandy. Wrong!
