Rachel Maddow Issues WEAKEST CORRECTION EVER

As someone whose entire job revolves around covering current events as quickly as possible, I can say this: Mistakes and misunderstandings HAPPEN.

I can also assure you that we’d never purposely mislead you. We own up to our mistakes when they happen.

The same CANNOT be said for Rachel Maddow and her team. I think they’re out to mislead the public from the onset… and only issue these weak “corrections” once they get caught red-handed.

…If you can even call this a correction.

As I mentioned earlier, Rachel got caught in a bold-faced lie about the White House tampering Trump’s Helsinki transcripts.

That wasn’t in the least bit accurate.

This is one possible explanation for why the White House transcript & video from Helsinki doesn’t include Putin saying he wanted Trump to win.

But Putin really did say that in Helsinki…

(1): White House has let it stand uncorrected, and

(2): POTUS now asserts that Putin wants *Dems* to win, not him.

I love WaPo with the heat of 1000 suns, but nothing here from WaPo disproves our report.

Your report asserts that the video was edited and implies that the incomplete transcript was posted intentionally. There’s no evidence for the first point and my piece provides context to suggest that the second was unintentional.
