I’ve never been a member at Planet Fitness, but I suppose I see why people like it so much. It’s the gym for “regular people– not beefcakes. I like the sentiment. “Judgment free zone,” but you KNOW that there are always people judging you, so it is what it is.
However, I would be legitimately horrified if I was working out at a Planet Fitness and saw this. WE ARE ALL JUDGING YOU.
Some dude, Eric Stagno, 34, waltzed into a Planet Fitness in Plaistow, New Hampshire and stripped down naked at the front desk and exercised naked and thought he could get away with it because it’s a “judgment-free zone.”
Here’s the dude.
Eric M. Stagno, 34, of Haverhill, Mass., was charged with indecent exposure, lewdness and disorderly conduct after police responded to the gym at 95A Plaistow Road at 1:35 p.m. to investigate a report of a nude patron.
“The story we got from witnesses was that the guy walked in, stripped down right there in front, left the clothes and belongings at the front desk, walked back and forth across the gym a couple of times and then settled in over at the yoga mats,” police Capt. Brett Morgan said.
Oh no NOT THE YOGA MATS!!!
What’s worse? When police arrived, he was in a “yoga-type pose.” On the mat. Naked.
“The only comment he made was that he thought it was a judgment-free zone, apparently referencing their slogan,” Morgan said, adding that police walked up to Stagno, asked him to put his hands behind his back and arrested him without incident.
Several other patrons witnessed the nude workout and gave statements to police. Morgan said they reported that they felt “uncomfortable,” “disgusted,” “sick” and “unsafe.”
Morgan doesn’t know exactly where Stagno was found on the mat, but said, “He certainly wasn’t near the front window for everyone to see.”
There’s no way anyone would think that’s OK, right? He was either 1.) Pulling a nasty prank or 2.) Is mentally ill.
Stagno was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned on the misdemeanor charges in the Plaistow Circuit Court on Sept. 21.
I bet the gym-goers who witnessed that are scarred for life.
I've experienced someone at my Planet Fitness with no shirt on the elliptical once. Fully naked is a whole different level 😂

Man is accused of walking into Planet Fitness, dropping his clothes and working out nude. He told investigators he "thought he was in a judgement-free zone."
Here's to hoping he wiped down the equipment afterward.https://t.co/tRS9LOqNkl
