So um… let me get this straight.

Alyssa Milano’s new show is all about a miserable fat girl who gets PUNCHED IN THE FACE by a homeless-looking dude, so she gets her jaw wired shut and now she’s skinny and gets revenge on everyone who wronged her by punching them in the face and setting them on fire… or something.

A lot of very positive messages here. Since you know… Alyssa is all about Social Justice and Feminism and Empowerment and all.

Only um… WTF EVEN IS THIS?!

I mean… I’m usually not into the whole ” OMG EVERYTHING IS FAT SHAMING” schtick… but this show just looks so freaking STUPID.

I love you @Alyssa_Milano but if we could stop promoting the idea that fat girls are miserable, envious girls who if they were just able to stop eating and starve themselves they would be hot and “that will show them!” So problematic and tbh just over done lazy story telling.

That’s what you get for making a screeching bag of rocks “the face” of ANYTHING.

But for SOME people… hindsight isn’t 20/20.

Um, she is an incredibly vocal fighter for Women’s Rights. Due to her celebrity status, she is well-known for her efforts towards the movement. She would easily be considered a “face of the movement” SIR.

So a show about body shaming is fine for her, just as her use of firearms in movies, her armed guards are fine, but we can’t say what she doesn’t like and must disarm and trust her to make the world nicer, right? #BoycottAlyssaMilano

Watched the trailer and read the article, and yet I’m still severely disappointed in @netflix and you for agreeing to do this show. What a disgrace. We need to give better storytellers the chance to create better content. This is pure trash.
