Democrats can’t get mad or try to say, “No! That doesn’t TRULY reflect our side,” because Maxine Waters called for this. She called for #resisters to harass people they don’t agree with in restaurants, gas stations and movie theaters, and they’ve been doing just that.
The latest?
A woman confronted Steve Bannon in a bookstore– Black Swan Books– and called him “a piece of trash.” When the owner, Nick Cooke, asked her to leave, she refused. Cooke ended up calling the police, although the woman left so authorities were never officially dispatched.
“Steve Bannon was simply standing, looking at books, minding his own business. I asked her to leave, and she wouldn’t. And I said, ‘I’m going to call the police if you don’t,’ and I went to call the police and she left,” Cooke said, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch. “And that’s the end of the story.”
“We are a bookshop. Bookshops are all about ideas and tolerating different opinions and not about verbally assaulting somebody, which is what was happening,” Cooke added.
Novel concept, no?
When asked about whether he has a personal relationship with Bannon, Cooke said he had no comment and wanted to respect Bannon’s privacy, describing him as “a private person in my bookshop.”
A photograph of what appeared to be Bannon in the bookshop circulated Saturday on Twitter.
It is unclear who specifically confronted Bannon at Black Swan Books.
Liberals are more upset by the owner’s actions than by the woman acting like a belligerent fool in public.

Black Swan Books was one of my favorite local, independent bookstores … until they defended Steve Bannon and turned the store into a safe space for white nationalists. Bad move, Black Swan. You are now blacklisted. pic.twitter.com/hy5WHbx5Ox

Do you really not get it? I don’t even like Steve Bannon, and I get it.
Publicly harassing people associated with Trump isn’t a winning strategy. It’ll probably get you lots of followers on Twitter, though.
