Only 47% Of Americans Say They’re Extremely Proud To Be An American

I know polls aren’t foolproof (Trump is POTUS, after all), but this is disheartening as heck.

According to a new Gallup poll, only 47% of Americans are extremely proud to be an American.

That’s ridiculous. And what’s more ridiculous? Look at the results when you break it down by party.

Surprise, surprise. More Democrats are ashamed than Republicans. Why? Because their feelings are based on the man in the White House.

I have a problem with that. Your feelings on being an American should have NOTHING to do with the President of the United States. Obama was POTUS for 8 grueling years. He constantly apologized for our country’s greatness. I was ashamed of him, but never ONCE did he make me ashamed to be an American. That feeling isn’t attached to a political leader. But liberals are incapable of detaching their feelings from the man residing in the White House.

Ugh. So disappointing.
