Sen. Tim Scott sat down for an interview with CNN’s Van Jones and revealed who he’s going to recommend for the Supreme Court…none other than Rep. Trey Gowdy. To which I say, DAYUM.
“I’m going to recommend Trey Gowdy be one of the folks that I would have a strong recommendation for him serving on the Supreme Court,” Scott said. “I hope that the President will be open to that recommendation.”
For those who don’t know, Gowdy has a background as a federal prosecutor. You can tell every single time he grills weenies like Rosenstein during Congressional hearings.

Scott called Gowdy, a former federal prosecutor, “incredibly fair” and said he was an equal opportunity critic of both the Trump and Obama administrations.
“A guy who will call balls and strikes and not choose a side, even when he’s an elected member, at this time in our nation’s history that’s hard to find,” Scott said.
The two Republicans have grown close over their time in Congress and recently co-authored a book, “Unified: How Our Unlikely Friendship Gives Us Hope for a Divided Country.”
Very impressive public servant. Both parties need more like Tim Scott. I don’t agree with him on many issues, including the Supreme Court. But he explains on my show tonight at 7pm ET why he admires Trey Gowdy. https://t.co/vnWhavTa9c
