Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade caused widespread OUTRAGE today for suggesting that Americans should prioritize American children over those of a different country.
Fox & Friends host: “These aren’t our kids. Show them compassion, but it’s not like he is doing this to the people of Idaho or Texas”https://t.co/VWYB5hRPif pic.twitter.com/CMO9oTLIEX

“Like it or not, these are not our kids,” Kilmeade said on “Fox & Friends” Friday. “Show them compassion, but it’s not like he’s doing this to the people of Idaho or Texas. These are people from another country.”
Ok, so there MAY have been a better way to say this, but here’s the thing…
I personally do not believe one child is more “valuable” than another… EVERY LIFE IS VALUABLE. But of course, it is our government’s job to prioritize Americans. That goes without saying. When it comes to American resources, we cannot prioritize 7 billion people around the world equally. American resources are for Americans. It’s pretty simple.
Of course, the liberal media is pouncing on their shot to make him out as a MONSTER.
The idea of treating children differently is appalling. And to do so so to motivate a political agenda is even more so. Shameful. https://t.co/T2WnDlD46r

Ok. So are these people suggesting all children around the world should be taken care of by the American government?
We provide public schooling to American kids as well. Should we provide public schooling to the entire planet?
Is it “supremacist” of America to only school Americans?
PLEASE ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS.
Kilmeade has clarified his statement:
On FOX & Friends earlier, Of course-I didn’t mean to make it seem like children coming into the U.S. illegally are less important because they live in another country. I have compassion for all children, especially for all the kids separated from their parents right now. 1 of 2

Nobody wants to see children in these circumstances and glad they are on their way to being reunited with their parents.https://t.co/d1mmMlq0j9
