I wrote a long time ago that it was a bucket list item for me to meet him, and introduce him to my dad, and watch them play a game of chess. Remember?
And then it happened.
I posted that on my IG/FB pages, with this caption:
The news about Charles Krauthammer is so sad. His goodbye letter is heartbreakingly brave. I’m so grateful for the email exchanges and phone calls I was fortunate enough to share with him, and mostly that my daddio and I were able to spend an afternoon with him in his DC office 8 years ago. The chess game was just for show, but it made my heart explode with love. ❤️
