President Trump met with lawmakers Tuesday to discuss the ongoing situation with illegal immigrant families on the Southern border, and it sounds like he’s backing the GOP’s immigration bills which would solve a lot of the current problems.
The president still would prefer Congress pass one of two bills drafted by House Republicans that would also fund a border wall and curb legal immigration, said the official, who asked not to be identified describing president’s position. But if both bills fail, Trump is expected to support legislation aimed only at family separations, the official said.
Trump threw his support behind the two GOP immigration bills in a meeting Tuesday with House Republicans but left it up to lawmakers to figure out how to end the administration policy that has separated the families of undocumented immigrants.
Did you hear about Cruz’s proposal?
But the GOP is so heartless, right? Clearly, these people HATE CHILDREN.
The reality? If Democrats take a break from #resisting and join Republicans, they can end this. Trump knows this and called them out this morning.
The Fake News is not mentioning the safety and security of our Country when talking about illegal immigration. Our immigration laws are the weakest and worst anywhere in the world, and the Dems will do anything not to change them & to obstruct-want open borders which means crime!

It’s the Democrats fault, they won’t give us the votes needed to pass good immigration legislation. They want open borders, which breeds horrible crime. Republicans want security. But I am working on something – it never ends!

He sounds like a teacher trying to wrangle dozens of misbehaving toddlers.
It truly never ends.
