Last night, Rachel Maddow sobbed on her show over a report about children being separated from families. Keep in mind that they were separated because their parents brought them over the border illegally. They didn’t seek asylum at a port of entry. They came over illegally.
Big difference.
I think liberals are giant hypocrites for shedding all these crocodile tears, because 1.) They leave out key facts (like the fact that this is avoidable if they enter the right way) and 2.) They fail to say that this has BEEN an ongoing issue.
They only care so deeply about the children now, because Trump is POTUS. That’s the truth of the matter.
On to Corey Lewandowski. He’s not helping. There’s a way to present the facts without acting like a total douchebag.
Here’s how he reacted to a story about a 10-year-old girl (with Down Syndrome) who was separated from her parents.
“Womp womp.”
Look– I think the other guy is insufferably annoying too. “How dare you!” If only liberals had the same reaction to mothers aborting their Down syndrome babies, but I digress.
I was just on @foxnews opposite Corey Lewandowski to discuss the Trump family separation policy.
When I relayed the story about a ten year old girl with Down Syndrome being taken from her mother, he responded with “womp womp”

There is no low to which this coward Corey Lewandowski won’t sink. This man should not be afforded a national platform to spew his hate. https://t.co/M8adu7P2sf

It’s not his views that lead me to say this, but solely his personal conduct: Corey Lewandowski is a bad person.

beginning to think Corey Lewandowski is kind of a bad person

This man, Corey Lewandowski, shouldn’t be able to leave his house without being punched in the face https://t.co/gcy5IuZIzT

I don’t care what your view on the political issue may be: Responding to the ordeal of a young girl with Down Syndrome being separated from her parent with a derisive “womp womp” is truly, jarringly callous.

Believe it or not, it’s possible to stand for our principles, understand the current situation AND have a little bit of heart. You can feel for the little girl and still believe that her parents need to be held accountable for breaking the law.
Just don’t be a douchebag like Corey Lewandowski.
