Sen. Ted Cruz Wins The Charity Basketball Match Against Jimmy Kimmel!

It actually happened.

Sen. Ted Cruz and Jimmy Kimmel competed in a one-on-one in basketball match for charity, and Cruz came out as the victor.

I love that this happened. It’s not just about the game. This all started because Kimmel was being mean, mocking Cruz and calling him a blobfish during a monologue about basketball. Cruz responded by ignoring the rude comments and challenging Kimmel to a basketball match for charity.

They joked back and forth, and Kimmel eventually accepted the challenge. Props for that.

Cruz was super self-deprecating, which made the entire thing even more goofy and lighthearted.

The best part, aside from worthy charities getting donations, is that Kimmel guaranteed victory over Cruz, whom he called a “greasy blobfish.” Cruz embraced the blobfish insult, made it his mascot, then beat Kimmel’s ass. 😂

What's actually substantial about @tedcruz beating @jimmykimmel at a basketball game is that this all happened because high-and-mighty Kimmel insulted Cruz's physical appearance and fitness. Don't call someone a "blob" and then lose a basketball game against them.

That’s the thing. Kimmel looks like the real loser here. Yes– it was cool he agreed to participate, but this all started because he acted like a petty little punk. Cruz used the insults for the GOOD, and look what happened.
