Ivanka posted this sweet family picture yesterday:

Precious. How could anyone turn this sweet image of a mama and her baby into something political?
I’ll show you how:
Imagine posting this on the day the top news story is 1500 children ripped from their parents who have no idea when they’ll see them again. https://t.co/0aKvOe3B8F
— Dana Schwartz (@DanaSchwartzzz) May 27, 2018
That’s… not accurate.
But the hateful buzz was immediate:
Sure would be tough to have that child ripped from your arms, housed in a government facility, lost track of, and inadvertently turned over to human traffickers, wouldn’t it? https://t.co/utjXfPa3hH

Ivanka is trolling the immigrants. And Trumpers are very happy.

No, no she’s not. This is just a picture of her and her baby. That’s it.
Repulsive

Yes, it is. But, adroit, too. One 1 level, seems to say, Trump can’t be
separating children, his family loves babies. To those in the know, the image says only natives/blondes can their keep babies; immigrants don’t. Esoteric, double-meaning language is common in dictatorships.— Anance (@AnanceLLC) May 28, 2018
DEAR LORD. “THOSE IN THE KNOW?” WHAT KIND OF CRACK IS THIS PERSON ON?!
Trump Derangement Syndrome – it’s worse than crack.
But the “1,500 missing babies” story is BEYOND inaccurate. Even many on the left are admitting this.
Schwartz is referencing a CNN article over the weekend on the federal government being unable to account for 1,500 “unaccompanied immigrant children.” It was noted in the piece that illegal immigrant parents being prosecuted are separated from their children.
Conflating the two issues, the left has been in a collective uproar ever since, with images of babies being ripped from their mothers breasts dancing through their heads — keep in mind that members of the vicious MS-13 gang reportedly entered the US as unaccompanied immigrant children.
“Unaccompanied minors” are mostly teens who come here knowing it’s a lot easier to come here and STAY HERE if you’re not 18 yet… and unless you don’t know what “unaccompanied” means, you’ll realize they weren’t torn from their mothers… they came here alone IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Additionally… most of these “unaccompanied minors” are turned over to family members already living in the US. Want to know why they’re “missing?” BECAUSE THEY DON’T WANT TO GET DEPORTED. THIS IS ON PURPOSE. DUH.
There were even photos from 2014 floated as if happening under Trump to fuel the outrage, drawing in a number of suckers, including former members of the Obama administration, which was in office at the time.
Bleak photos of migrant facilities set famous libs on epic Trump assault until, oops, pics turn out to be Obama’s https://t.co/u1WuN42ipt pic.twitter.com/K7irfCEapr

None of this matters to the TDS crowd.
The hashtag #WhereAreTheChildren was created, as seen in a senseless attack on Ivanka from Kaivan Shroff, a self-identified Hillary Clinton campaign staffer.
“Ivanka takes just as much pleasure in all of this cruelty as her father,” the zealot posted. “She just tweeted this, mocking the 1,500 immigrant children her father lost. She is a disgrace.”

But Schwartz and her liberal cohorts don’t grasp the meaning of “unaccompanied,” meaning they arrived in the United States alone.
Or that an overwhelming percentage of illegal immigrants, once released into the country, never appear at assigned court appointments to continue processing their cases.
DUH. They don’t want to get sent back. This in NO WAY means they’re “missing” … it means they’re HIDING. Surely even the liberals can understand that difference.
As CNN reported, the majority of children are sent to live with sponsors who have close ties to the children — typically a parent or close relative.
SOME libs DO get it… and attempt to help their peers sound less brain-dead:
Andrea González-Ramírez, a New York City-based journalist for Refinery29, made an attempt to educate Schartz.
I get what you’re saying here, but the missing kids didn’t get separated from their parents. They were unaccompanied minors at the border.
Both issues are related (how can the govt protect kids they separate from their parents if they lost 1,500 kids?) but they’re not the same.— Andrea González-Ramírez (@andreagonram) May 27, 2018
And even a Vox reporter (which is about as liberal as it gets) makes the same point I do:
Good morning, everyone! I’m seeing a lot of tweets about how 1,475 children “taken from their parents” were lost by HHS. That’s wrong. Most children sent to HHS—before last fall, ALL children sent to HHS—arrived in the US as unaccompanied minors.
— Dara Lind (@DLind) May 25, 2018
FYI, another point about this: we do not know how many of these children weren’t located because they and their relatives in the US (who might even be their parents!) made the decision to go off the grid to reduce deportation risk.
— Dara Lind (@DLind) May 26, 2018
SPOILER ALERT: The VAST majority of them.
How is this not obvious to people?
That’s how the “unaccompanied minor” illegal immigration thing works.
Minors cross the border, and immediately turn themselves in. BECAUSE they are minors, authorities turn them over to friends and family already living in the USA (which is the plan all along) and give them a court date. They get a free ride to wherever their family is, and don’t show up to the court date. BAM. They illegally live in America now.
Not showing up was the plan ALL ALONG.
How this is a mystery to people blows my mind.
