President Trump Signals That The Meeting With North Korea Is Back On

It’s been a wild ride.

The world scoffed at the idea of President Trump meeting with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un.

Then North Korea met with South Korea, and we set a time and a place for Trump’s meeting with Kimmy McChubs.

Then North Korea started acting like North Korea again and publicly pouted about how it was no longer interested in a “one-sided negotiation.” It floated threats of canceling the meeting.

So Trump called the meeting off, because DO NOT MESS.

North Korea immediately expressed its willingness to talk, and Trump decided to reconsider.

We are having very productive talks with North Korea about reinstating the Summit which, if it does happen, will likely remain in Singapore on the same date, June 12th., and, if necessary, will be extended beyond that date.

Kim Jong-un met with President Moon shortly after– that’s right, for a second time– to discuss the U.S.-North Korean summit.

Here’s the latest, directly from President Trump. It sounds like the meeting is back on.

Our United States team has arrived in North Korea to make arrangements for the Summit between Kim Jong Un and myself. I truly believe North Korea has brilliant potential and will be a great economic and financial Nation one day. Kim Jong Un agrees with me on this. It will happen!

I appreciate the optimism but could do without the “brilliant potential” talk. As long as those people live under that dictator’s thumb, I see no great future for North Korea.

Maybe this is just Trump’s way of getting Kim Jong-un to come to the table. You know what they say about catching more flies with honey…
