I told you about the school shooting at a Noblesville, Indiana Middle School. (Only minutes from where I grew up and lived until earlier this year. A few miles from where my mother teaches. It hits so, so close to home)
As more details emerge, one thing becomes certain:
Science teacher Jason Seaman is a HERO.
According to Daily Mail:
The heroic science teacher who was shot as he tackled a student gunman to the ground after he opened fire in his seventh grade Indiana classroom on Friday has been identified as 30-year-old Jason Seaman.
According to students who survived, the gunman burst into Seaman’s classroom at Noblesville West Middle School at 9.06am and opened fire, critically injuring a 13-year-old girl.
Seaman was also shot but it is not clear if it was before or after he brought the student to the ground and ‘swatted’ the gun out of his hand.
The shooter was arrested shortly afterwards and remains in police custody.
His mother has shared updates on his condition to Facebook:
“Please pray for my son Jason. This morning there was a shooting at his school Noblesville West Jr High. He was hit 3 times & is undergoing surgery now. We are told he is in good condition but haven’t gotten to see him yet. I thank God that no one was killed.”
“Jason is out of surgery and is doing well. 3 shots – 1 through the abdomen, 1 in the hip& 1 in the forearm. PLEASE pray for the student that was also shot”
Our prayers are with Jason, the injured student, and YOU, Kristi!

The outpouring of support goes on and on!
Jason Seaman. THAT is who the media needs to be talking about. THAT is who we need to be glorifying.
