President Trump rocked the world when he announced that he was canceling the highly anticipated meeting with Kim Jong-un.
Here’s the letter, just for a refresher:
Shortly after, North Korea reiterated its willingness to talk.
“The abrupt announcement of the cancellation of the meeting is unexpected for us and we cannot but find it extremely regrettable,” North Korea’s First Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye Gwan said in a statement.
“We again state to the US our willingness to sit face-to-face at any time in any form to resolve the problem,” Kim added.
What now? I’ll tell you what. The meeting might happen after all. Trump just tweeted this:
We are having very productive talks with North Korea about reinstating the Summit which, if it does happen, will likely remain in Singapore on the same date, June 12th., and, if necessary, will be extended beyond that date.

I think Trump is playing a brilliant game. He’s not allowing North Korea to call the shots. He’s keeping them on their toes and showing them that we’re in charge.
So while the meeting isn’t officially “on,” the original plan might happen after all. We shall see!
