US Air Force Apologizes For Tweet Made In ‘Poor Taste’

On Thursday, the US Air Force tweeted this: (I’m providing a screenshot, because the original tweet has been deleted for reasons you’ll soon see.)

It’s a play off the social media debate on Yanny and Laurel. (BTW, it’s definitely Laurel.)

I don’t really have a problem with it, because Taliban Forces deserve to be bombed into oblivion. Animals. All of them.

HOWEVER. The US Air Force decided that the tweet was insensitive and removed it. We wouldn’t want to hurt the precious sensitivities of Taliban Forces, now would we?

We apologize for the earlier tweet regarding the A-10. It was made in poor taste and we are addressing it internally. It has since been removed.

Look. I get that it rubbed some people the wrong way, because it seems snarky and a-holey and unprofessional and whatnot, but don’t apologize. These are TERRORISTS we’re talking about.
