Texas Gov. Greg Abbott Gives An Update On The Santa Fe School Shooting

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott just held a press conference and gave more details on the devastating shooting at Santa Fe High School.

Here’s what we know so far:

• • 10 are dead and 10 others injured
  • The shooter has been identified as Dimitrios Pagourtzis
  • There are two other people of interest being interviewed
  • Two weapons were used in the attack– a shotgun and .38 revolver
  • Pagourtzis used his father’s legally obtained guns
  • Explosive devices were detected
  • Officer John Barnes is the school resource officer who confronted Pagourtzis. He’s in critical condition
  • Pagourtzis wrote that he wanted to commit suicide

Abbott added that he will hold roundtable discussions on “new measures to reduce gun violence.”
