27 Women Accuse Charlie Rose Of Sexual Misconduct, Lawsuits Pending

CBS fired Charlie Rose after several women stepped forward and accused him of sexual misconduct. The allegations included “lewd phone calls, walking around naked in their presence, or groping their breasts, buttocks or genital areas.”

Rose admitted to some of the claims and said he was “greatly embarrassed.” This was his full statement on the matter:

However, a reporter later caught up with Rose and asked him about his wrongdoings. Charlie’s response?

“It’s not wrongdoings.”

Um…groping a woman is a wrongdoing. Yes it is.

Since then, 27 more women have stepped forward and accused him of sexual misconduct. That’s right. 27. Holy crap.

The 76-year-old journalist was fired from CBS and PBS in November in light of sexual misconduct allegations from eight women.

But an additional 27 have now come forward — 14 CBS News employees and 13 others who worked with him elsewhere, according to the Washington Post, which conducted five months of interviews and spoke with more than 100 of his former colleagues.

The new allegations date back to 1976, when Rose allegedly exposed his penis to Joana Matthias, a former research assistant, and allegedly groped her breasts while working at NBC News’ Washington bureau.

“This other personality would come through, and the groping would happen,” Matthias, 63, told the newspaper.

An NBC News spokeswoman declined to comment.

In addition, there are lawsuits pending.

Charlie Rose just got hit with a sexual harassment lawsuit from 3 women he worked with at CBS, including his personal assistant.

The women include a broadcast associate, a news associate and Rose’s executive assistant. In the suit, 2 of the women — Katherine Brooks Harris and Sydney McNeal, his assistant — say Rose told them they were hired specifically because he likes tall women.

They claim he also boasted about his sexual conquests and encouraged them to share their sexual experiences. Harris and McNeal say Rose would tell the women they should become lovers … with each other, not him.

These lawsuits certainly sound well-deserved. Charlie Rose is a man skeeze.
