President Trump held a joint press conference with French President Macron, and a lot of it focused on the Iran Nuclear Deal. Macron doesn’t believe the United States should drop it. Trump, however, has made it clear that he feels it’s a garbage deal.
It’s supposed to deprive them of getting nukes, but experts say it actually puts them on a easier path TO GET NUKES.
“France and the United States also agree that Iran cannot be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon and that regime must end its support of terrorism,” Trump stated.
That much we agree on. The rest is fuzzy.
French President Macron said that they “want sustainable stability” and added that France wants to “work on a new deal with Iran.”

“I believe the discussions we’ve had together make it possible to open the way, to pave the way for a new agreement,” Macron said.

He sounds optimistic. Trump is sounding REAListic.
“We will see what happens on the 12th,” Trump said. “But I will say if Iran threatens us in any way, they will pay a price like few countries have ever paid.”

DAYUM. He’s not playing.
“It will be possible to do a new deal with solid foundations because this is a deal with decayed foundations, it’s a bad deal, it’s a bad structure, it’s falling down and it should have never ever been made,” Trump continued.
“I blame congress, I blame a lot of people for it. But it should have never been made,” he added.
He’s standing firm, and I’m grateful for that. Finally. We have a POTUS with a backbone.
