Colbert Show Writer Raises Eyebrows For MEAN Joke About Barbara Bush

As I mentioned, Barbara Bush died yesterday at the age of 92.

It didn’t take long for the libs to start spewing hate… and for a liberal PROFESSOR to start calling her a racist...

Sad… and gross.

Even a writer for Stephen Colbert’s show got in on the “fun”…

Is there ANY question as to why the Colbert show SUCKS as hard as it does? Because it’s written by people like this.

Want to know what makes it REALLY sad?

Barbara’s hair started turning white at 28… when she lost her baby girl to cancer. So yeah… her white hair was the product of something no woman should ever go through… the stress and heartbreak of losing a child.

According to the Washington Post:

Barbara Bush described the death of her daughter and the grief that followed as an agony made more bearable by her relationship with her husband. Later, she would marvel that the tragedy that splits many couples had brought them closer.

It was during this period, at age 28, that Barbara’s dark hair began to go white giving her the gray coiffure that would become known to the world. But the Bushes thrived. They had three more children, including another girl, Dorothy.

But please, make her white hair the butt of your joke on the day she passes away. Go ahead. Super classy.

Robin stayed in the hospital for seven months, having regular bone marrow tests and blood transfusions, which drove her father from the room while her mother remained resolutely at her side. On one quick outing to Maine, Robin finally saw her two brothers, whose pictures were taped to her hospital headboard but who had no idea their sister’s life was ebbing away.

In October, Robin died with her parents in the room. “For one last time I combed her hair and held our precious little girl,” Barbara wrote.

OOMPH. Right to the heart.

Oh, honey… you obviously needed some attention, so YOU’RE WELCOME.

And here’s the thing… it’s not like the rest of us didn’t realize Barbara Bush had white hair and was a “mature” woman. Of course we did. We just didn’t feel like that warranted making her the butt of our jokes. ESPECIALLY on the day she DIED. Barbara was a lovely, sweet and thoughtful woman. THAT should be what people focus on at the time of her passing.

So it’s okay to make fun of a woman’s appearance? Or is that only towards recently deceased or just women you don’t agree with in general? It’s hard to keep up with the ever-changing rules.
