Rapper Cardi B is slamming President Trump’s idea of arming teachers… because the students will kill the teachers and take their guns… or something.
“Have you ever shot a gun before? It’s very scary and loud. It’s traumatizing to shoot somebody,” the singer said in an interview for GQ’s May issue which was published Monday.
I have shot a gun a number of times, yes.
I won’t ask Belcalis how many guns she’s shot. Something tells me I don’t want to know.
Not ALL teachers should be armed. Teachers who are willing, and comfortable shooting a gun should be armed. They won’t mind how “Scary and loud” it is.
And as for how “traumatizing” it is to shoot someone, it’s FAR more traumatizing to watch your students get shot without being able to do anything about it, don’t you think?
The 25-year-old former VH1 “Love & Hip Hop” star ripped the president for thinking “that everything is a joke” as she spoke about Trump’s proposal to arm trained teachers to protect students following February’s mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida which left 17 people dead.
“On top of that, what makes you think that a kid wouldn’t come behind a teacher, shoot her from the back, then go in her desk and take the gun? And now you got two guns,” Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, told the publication.
Um. Really? That’s what you’re most worried about? Because in that case, we have a whoooole new set of issues on our hands. Namely, a bunch of murderous students sneaking up on teachers. Does she mean the shooters? Are active shooters going to sneak up behind teachers? In that case, we should really re-consider desk placement…
Then she calls President Trump the n-word. I guess that’s cool with everyone.
“When it came to the school shooting, that’s when I was like, ‘Okay, this n—a really think that everything is a joke,’” she said.
I’m not sure why exactly she thought this “n-a” thinks everything is a joke… but I’m sure the libs LOOOVED that insightful comment, regardless.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper told GQ she supports mental health evaluations for gun buyers and believes the minimum age to purchase firearms should be over 21 years old.
“I was such a dumb-ass when I was 21,” she said. “I got common sense now.”
Uh huh.
Cardi also wants you to know that she’s super political now.
The New York City-born singer is also a political junkie who loves government and is “obsessed with presidents.”
“I’m obsessed to know how the system works,” she said, admitting she would probably not consider running for office herself.
“I’d be wrong a lot of times,” Cardi B said.
I mean… she did freak out when she realized how much she pays in taxes that one time.
I’m surprised this “political junkie” hasn’t put two and two together yet to realize Democrat reeeeally doesn’t make much sense for her.
But… am I actually surprised? I dunno about that.
“I’m always watching the news. I’m always looking at it on my phone. I hate when you talk about something that’s going on in the community, people think, because you’re famous, you doing it for clout,” she added. “But you concerned about it because you are a citizen of America; you are a citizen of the world.”
