Sen. Feinstein Wonders Why We ‘Need’ Certain Guns, And I Have An Answer

Hey everyone. Sen. Dianne Feinstein has a question.

Today we have 15 million assault weapons in the U.S. These are guns modeled after military weapons and then sold to civilians. For what? You can’t use it for hunting. You don’t need it for defense. What do you really need it for?

I’m disturbed that a US lawmaker is asking such a preposterous question. Did she or did she not swear to “support and defend the Constitution”? Her feeeeeeeeeeeelings don’t matter. We’re under no obligation to answer those questions. Quite frankly, it’s none of her business. She has ONE job. “Support and defend the Constitution.” Clearly, she’s not living up to her job description. But I’ll be nice and give her quick answer anyway. I’m nice like that.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Well-regulated Militia = able-bodied individuals who knew how to use their weapons. It wasn’t operated by the state. Otherwise, the entire Second Amendment wouldn’t make any sense. An entity controlled and maintained by the government is necessary to keep the people free from an overblown…government? Yeah…no. That’s not right. But a-ha! There’s Feinstein’s answer! This isn’t about what I can hunt with, Dianne. We own these weapons– which are not “assault weapons, because that’s not even A Thing”– because it’s “necessary to the security of a free State.” Our ability to stand up against the government is the ONLY thing standing between us and tyranny. The Second Amendment preserves our liberty. You can say, “Well we live in a different age now! We’re so modern and progressive,” but that’s a load. Human nature doesn’t change. The Founding Fathers knew that. They KNEW no matter how “advanced” we become, government would ALWAYS have the tendency to grow too big and intrusive. They knew we needed a permanent safeguard. Hence, the second part of the Second Amendment: “…the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

In other words, up yours Dianne. I don’t have to give you a reason “why” I need a certain gun. Read the Second Amendment. It’s all there. I’m not a hunter, and I own an AR-15 for the very reasons listed in the Second Amendment. Yes– I’m ALL about self-defense and home defense, but that was a GIVEN back in the Founders’ days. The Second Amendment is about the people’s ability to stand up against tyranny.

That’s why I need it Dianne. And the Second Amendment explicitly states that it’s none of your business. Shall not be infringed.

3. It’s the Bill of Rights, not the Bill of Needs.

1. “Assault weapon” is a term made up by politicians.

2. The .45 sidearm is a for real “military weapon”. You banning those?

3. Yes you can use an AR-15 for hunting.
