March 22, 2018I’m not usually a fan of this stuff, but y’all – the Karate Kid is coming back. I’m not even kidding. A new YouTube TV series is coming out with at least part of the original cast (yes, Ralph Macchio, HELLO) is being produced by “Will Smith’s company, Overbrook Entertainment. Ah, as long as there’s a Smith in the entertainment world, the Karate Kid will ride again—Will was also a producer on the 2010 remake, which starred a teeny Jaden alongside Jackie Chan, and made about $359 million worldwide.”
I guess they thought a TV-remake would do well and suckers like me would possibly – maybe – at least have some morbid curiosity about what happened 34 years later:
